How these numbers are calculated

Approved, non-deleted conservation efforts only.

Reported values: Cutthroat Trout and Grasslands use their explicit Reported Acres, Reported Miles, and Reported Count fields when populated, with the matching Metric Value as a fallback. Sagebrush and Gunnison Sage-Grouse use Metric Value when Metric identifies Acres, Miles, or Count. GIS-calculated values are intentionally not substituted into reported totals.

Reported values are summed from records. Acreage can overlap spatially, and reported count metrics can represent different conservation outputs depending on activity/subactivity, so totals should be interpreted with the selected filters and categories. Approved effort count is the number of approved, non-deleted CED records in the selected scope.
